Queen Esther Click image to enlarge The king of Persia had chosen Esther to be his queen. Later, Esther was told of a plot to eliminate all the Jewish people -- her people. So, she prayed to God and fasted. Then she bravely went before the King Xerxes, even though he had not called for her. Esther knew that she could be sentenced to death for doing that. But she was trusting the living God to save both her and her people. God honored Esther's trust in Him and gave her great favor with the king. Esther's faith in God saved her and her people from annihilation. This is only a summary of this wonderful story of bravery, determination, and trust in God. For the full account, read the book of Esther. The Feast of Purim is an annual celebration in remembrance of what Esther did for her people. This event is the delight of untold numbers of little Jewish girls who dress up royally and imagine themselves to be Queen Esther, the heroine of her people. This lovely lady is an excellent Bible super hero role model. Great look-alike t-shirts for mother and daughter. Grandmother, too!
